Fond du Lac Chapter #289, Order of the Eastern Star met on Wednesday, June 11, with a soup and sandwich supper preceding the meeting. Father’s Day and Flag Day were observed. Twelve members participated in the baby identification. Root beer floats were served after the meeting by Bernice Labus and Doris Kerski.The next meeting will be Wednesday, July 23, with a 6:00 pm picnic preceding the meeting. Brats and hamburgers will be served. Members were asked to bring a salad or dessert. Joining us will be Linda Knee, District Deputy, who will help prepare us for our Grand Officer Visit. Be prepared with your memory work, balloting, and initiatory parts. On Wednesday, August 27, the Associate Grand Conductress, Mary Rasmussen will be our official visitor.
